About the Event
Join us for an exclusive drop-in style tour of Cornus House, a 199-unit, transit-oriented apartment and retail development located in Tacoma’s fastest-growing district. Steps from Sounder commuter rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit, Cornus House offers well-appointed small apartments with top-tier amenities including a fitness center, flexible workspaces, and a rooftop community room.
Designed with high-quality materials like brick, concrete, and metal siding, Cornus House is built to complement Tacoma’s rapidly evolving downtown landscape. The project also brings three new retail spaces to the neighborhood, enhancing its vibrancy and accessibility.
This project was developed on a challenging site with a legacy of industrial activity. Working closely with the Washington State Department of Ecology, the development team implemented an innovative environmental cleanup plan that sets a model for future projects.
Set to be completed in Fall 2024, Cornus House demonstrates how affordable housing and environmental stewardship can come together to create thriving, transit-connected communities in the City of Destiny.
