about us

The Tacoma-Pierce County Affordable Housing Consortium provides community education and advocacy to represent its members in expanding opportunities for nonprofit corporations and others to finance, produce, and manage housing for low-income people.

All residents of Tacoma-Pierce County have access to decent, safe, and affordable housing.

We are working to improve the environment for low-income housing production by:

     1. Enhancing the capacity of affordable housing developers;

     2. Providing an information network for the affordable housing community; and

     3. Educating the public about affordable housing issues.

Housing is a human right.

We are committed to the provision of decent, safe, affordable housing for all.

Stable homes are essential to a healthy community.

Housing costs should not be greater than 30% of household income.

Affordable housing is a critical component of economic development.

Collaboration among communities and development partners - efficiently using resources - is required to preserve and expand housing.
