About the Event
Join us for a focused conversation with state and local leaders on the future of affordable housing in Washington.
As part of Affordable Housing Week 2026, this members-only Legislative Roundtable brings together policymakers and housing stakeholders to discuss current challenges, emerging priorities, and what lies ahead for housing policy.
Confirmed participants include Representative Mari Leavitt (25th Legislative District) and Representative Emily Alvarado (34th Legislative District), with Pierce County Council Chair Jani Hitchen serving as moderator.
The discussion will center on:
Current affordable housing needs across Pierce County and Washington State
Legislative efforts at the state and local levels to address housing challenges
Anticipated priorities for the upcoming legislative session
The impact of potential federal funding cuts and how the state is responding
The session will include a moderated discussion with prepared questions, followed by a limited opportunity for audience Q&A.
This is a members-only event with limited capacity (50 attendees). Location details will be shared with registered participants prior to the event.
