City of Tacoma Transportation Plans Update

The City of Tacoma, along with all other jurisdictions in Pierce County, are required to update their comprehensive plans in 2024-2025. For this Lunch and Learn series we have been focusing on housing, but another connective aspect of the planning process is where housing and transportation intersect. The balance between the two is a vital component to the success of city planning. 

Laura Svancarek, from Downtown on the Go, will give a presentation on how transportation policy works in Tacoma and how it relates to the Home in Tacoma plan.  She will also outline some of the targets within Tacoma's upcoming Transportation Master Plan and touch on how this could influence the upcoming Comprehensive Plan update.
