City of Puyallup 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update

Based on requirements from the Growth Management Act (GMA), counties and jurisdictions in Washington are required to conduct a periodic update of their comprehensive plans, the next update taking place in 2024. The passage of HB 1220 and HB 1110, require cities to accomodate and plan for affordable housing in a number of ways. Katie Baker, Planning Manager with the City of Puyallup, will provide an overview of Puyallup’s Comprehensive Plan update strategy and priorities, including their engagement strategy. She will go over the input and direction they have received so far, the work they're currently doing, and anticipated amendments. She will also discuss Puyallup's housing allocation numbers and how the City intends to incorporate the 2021 Housing Action Plan. Join us for this event and bring your questions for Katie!
