About the Event
As Pierce County’s annual housing leadership convening, Affordable Housing Week brings together developers, lenders, public agencies, advocates, and community members to advance real housing solutions. This year’s theme—From Blueprint to Front Door—explores the full journey of creating affordable homes, from early planning to long-term stability.
The Networking Reception is an opportunity to come together in person, celebrate the collective work happening across Pierce County, and strengthen the partnerships that make housing possible.
Enjoy an evening of meaningful conversation, buffet-style food catered by the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, and beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
We are excited to feature Pretty Gritty Tours as our keynote presenters—local storytellers dedicated to uncovering and sharing the rich, often overlooked history of Tacoma and the South Sound. Their work highlights the people, places, and narratives that shape our communities, offering a powerful lens through which to reflect on housing, place, and belonging.
Honoring Housing Leadership
As part of the evening, we will present AHC’s Housing Champion Award to Tacoma Councilmember Sarah Rumbaugh in recognition of her leadership and commitment to advancing housing solutions in Tacoma and across Pierce County.
A Special Invitation: Become a Sustaining Member
This year, we are inviting attendees to take the next step in supporting housing solutions by becoming an individual sustaining member of the Affordable Housing Consortium.
Membership is a meaningful way to stay engaged, support ongoing advocacy and education efforts, and be part of a growing network working toward housing access and stability across Pierce County.
Individual Membership: $100/year
Low-Income / Student Membership: $25/year
Whether your organization is already a member or you are new to AHC, this is an opportunity to deepen your connection to the work and the community behind it.
