About the Event
Join us as we launch Affordable Housing Week 2026 with a conversation focused on real progress and what it takes to deliver affordable housing in Pierce County.
This kickoff event will highlight recent accomplishments in our region, including the development of two major projects that will bring nearly 500 units of permanent supportive housing to Pierce County—both made possible through Pierce County funding.
The program will begin with remarks from the Pierce County Executive, followed by a panel discussion featuring the County Executive alongside leaders from Trouves Health Care Corporation and Tacoma Rescue Mission. Panelists will share insights on partnership, funding, and the work required to move projects from early vision to long-term stability.
This event sets the tone for the week ahead, grounded in the theme “From Blueprint to Front Door – Every Affordable Home Has a Story,” and the collective effort it takes to create housing that serves our community.
Who Should Attend
Housing providers, policymakers, funders, service organizations, and community members interested in advancing affordable housing solutions in Pierce County.
